Dedicated to modern architecture

Issued to circulation on 24 May 2018. The 200 manat note is the 7th denomination issued to circulation as part of the existing concept. Dimension 160×70. The motif is ‘Modern Architecture’. The key motif is the Heydar Aliyev Center. The front of the note depicts the image of the Center and a number of exterior and interior design elements, while the back features the map of Azerbaijan, the map of Europe, that reflects integration of Azerbaijan to Europe and a series of national carpet patterns. The banknote with four levels of security is equipped with the most contemporary security elements.

According to the Decree signed by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan from February 7, 2005 on Changes to the Nominal Value of Monetary Units and the Scale of Prices (denomination) in the Republic of Azerbaijan new-generation banknotes were issued into circulation on January 1, 2006. During the transition to the new manat, 1 new manat equaled 5000 old manats.

Dedicated to economy and development.

The banknote is printed on the 155 × 70 mm white paper. There are images of architectural emblems of development from ancient times up-to-now, symbols of Azerbaijan manat and economic growth on the reverse of the banknote. The European integration of Azerbaijan is mapped on the reverse of the banknote backed by patterns of ancient Azerbaijani carpets.

The obverse of the banknote holds the images of future, stairs – signs of growth, token of power and light, sun, the symbol of science, chemical and maths symbols. The European integration of Azerbaijan is mapped on the reverse of the banknote backed by patterns of ancient Azerbaijani carpets.

The banknote is printed on the 120 × 70 mm white paper. The obverse of the banknote holds the images of literary personalities, ancient books and a fragment from the national anthem. The European integration of Azerbaijan is mapped on the reverse of the banknote in parallel with the history of development of Azerbaijan – rock carvings from Gobustan, the Orkhon-Yenisey alphabet and our modern alphabet.

On the background there are patterns of ancient carpets of Azerbaijan. The European integration of Azerbaijan is mapped on the reverse of the banknote backed by national ornaments of Azerbaijan.

(denomination) in the Republic of Azerbaijan, new generation metal coins were put into circulation on January 1, 2006. The design topics of new-generation coins were made in

harmony with that of banknotes. Coins were dedicated to: 1 gepik – culture, 3 gepik – alphabet and literature, 5 gepik – history, 10 gepik – Garabagh, 20 gepik – education and

future, 50 gepik – economy and development. 1, 3, 5 gepik coins covered with copper are red, 10 and 20 gepik coins are gold yellow, plated with brass, 50 gepik coins are gold

yellow and silvery (bicolor) covered with brass and nickel. Sides of all metal coins were made in an individual style and distinguish from each other.
